The Lauren, A Condominium - Heating Schedule

RE: Central Air Conditioning/Heat

DATE: October 13, 1998

As we enter the time of year where we make a building wide transition from air conditioning to heating capabilities, I would like to review the approximate schedule that is followed. Keep in mind that this can fluctuate slightly based upon either climatic conditions or mechanical developments.

October 12 - Central air conditioning is turned off. No heat is available.

October 13 through October 26 - Air conditioning is Off, but it can be restarted if hot weather so dictates (evaluated on a daily basis). No heat is available.

October 15 through October 26 - Servicing of unit convectors by Lauren maintenance. Written notice will be sent to each floor approximately 2 days in advance.

October 27 - Central system is valved over from air conditioning to heat. Heat is available. Air conditioning is not available until April 1999.

October 27 through November 14 - Heat is available. Heat will be turned on if cold weather so dictates (evaluated on a daily basis).

November 15 - Heat is on for the season. In the unlikely event of a day of Indian Summer it can be temporarily shut down.

Please note that even when both systems are off line you may activate your fan to obtain air flow. However, it will be neither heated nor cooled. When heat is activated a follow-up notice will be promulgated concerning proper usage of the system to achieve your optimum desired temperature.

We recognize that different exposures of the Lauren received varying amounts of sunlight and wind, but we attempt to provide suitable temperatures for all residents during this transition period. On behalf of the Board of Directors I thank all for their patience!
