THE LAUREN, A CONDOMINIUM April 29,2010 Dear Owner: Just a gentle reminder... The 2010 Annual Meeting of the Unit Owners Association will be held one week (7 days) from today: Thursday, May 6, 2010. The meeting will be held at the Washington Marriott Hotel, 1221 22nd St., N.W. and will start at 7:30PM. If you will not be able to attend the 2010 Annual Meeting please be sure to submit a proxy in advance of May 6, 2010. A duplicate copy is attached for your use (and others will be available at the front desk). Please note that regardless of whether you use the proxy form provided by the association, or the one subsequently disseminated by "concerned owners" you may assign your proxy to any eligible person whether they are listed anywhere on the form or not. While we sincerely hope you will be able to be with us in-person, please at the very least let us have your support to discuss and vote on the on-going business of the Association. If you have already submitted a proxy we are greatly appreciative. If you are going to avail yourself of the proxy procedure you are requested to properly complete the entire form (including witness signature, address, and date of completion) to ensure you are in compliance with District of Columbia legislation, and thus make your proxy valid. Please return all proxies either to the front desk, or to the person designated as your proxy, before 5:00PM on Thursday May 6th 2010. Walter J. Krolman PS. Administratively the processing of proxies is a multistep, somewhat time consuming affair. We would greatly appreciate any individual holding a proxy voluntarily submitting them to the Property Manager no later than WEDNESDAY MAY 5, 2010. Proxy holders may, of course, opt to submit their proxies at the registration table on May 6 where they will be handled as expeditiously as possible. |
