While the hallway, elevator, and lobby renovations are taking place we will be posting a WEEKLY projection of what is expected to transpire the following week. Interim updates will be posted as necessary.

For the week of August 17-22 (Monday through Saturday)

PART 1…..Monday through Wednesday

1. The project will center on the relocation of lighting in the hallways.

a) Floors 1-2-3 will see construction activity.

2. The nature of the construction will be:

a) Removal of sections of drywall so as to allow installation of new wiring and junction boxes.
b) Installation of wiring and junction boxes

3. The foreseen impacts include:

a) Sections of the hallway being blocked by a plastic dust barrier. You may proceed to your home even if it is on the other side of the plastic.
b) Hallways will continue to be illuminated with the existing fixtures.
c) There will be a certain amount of noise and dust. Contractors will vacuum hallways daily before departing for the day.

PART 2…Thursday through Saturday

1. The project will continue to center on the relocation of lighting in the hallways

a) ALL 10 FLOORS will see construction activity. Work will start on the 10th floor and approximately 3 floors a day will be involved. A rough schedule (and subject to change) would be:

Thursday - Floors 8-9-10
Friday - Floors 5-6-7
Saturday - Floors 1-2-3-4

2. The nature of the construction will be:

a) Moving the existing light fixtures to what will be the location of the new fixtures later in the project.

3. The foreseen impacts include:

a) While a floor is being worked on there will be NO HALLWAY LIGHTS!
b) Supplemental light will be provided by contractor and The Lauren. Stairwell doors will be left open. Please note that due to the manner in which the building is wired there may be instances of power being cut off to a floor even though no work is being done on that floor at the moment.
c) Power should still be on in all residential units.

PLEASE EXERCISE CAUTION WHEN USING THE HALLWAYS WHILE WORK IS IN PROGRESS. THERE WILL LIKELY BE CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS (E.G. LADDERS) IN THE HALLWAYS DURING DAYTIME HOURS.
