PARKING LOT GATE
&
OVERHEAD GARAGE DOOR

As you are probably aware both the parking lot gate and the overhead garage door need to be opened with either a transmitter or key every time you desire to enter or exit.

Both of these devices have a back up safety device (an electronic eye) which is designed to have the gate/door return to the fully open position when the beam is broken while the gate/door is in the process of opening or closing.

However, if the electronic eye is out of alignment it will not sense a car or person in its path and the gate/door will continue its normal cycle including closing. Regretfully it only takes a minor shift to knock the eye out of alignment. This small variation is usually not easily obvious to detect.

In order to assure that you have the maximum amount of time to enter or exit please do the following each and every time you use the gate/door:

1) Activate the gate/door with your transmitter or key.
2) Enter/exit the garage/lot while the gate/door is fully open.
3) Do NOT enter or exit while the gate/door is in the process of closing.
4) Put in simple terms please do NOT try to beat the door or gate!

Please remember that the electronic eye is not foolproof. Do not make it your first line of safety.

Parking lot gates and garage doors are expensive to replace. Thank you for abiding by this request.

Sincerely

Walter J. Krolman
