Dear Lauren Residents:
For the past few weeks we have been experiencing intermittent but consistent problems with both of our hot water heaters. Our mechanical service provider (Oasis) has been here several times to try to identify and correct the source(s) of the problem. As an example, yesterday they changed a gas regulator. In speaking with both the association’s consulting engineer Jack McNabb and others it is apparent that Lochinvar hot water heaters are known industry wide for being temperamental. While the Board of Directors already did have plans to change the hot water heaters within the next several months we are trying to accelerate the process. In the meantime no one (Residents, Board members, Lauren maintenance, and myself) want to have the current situation continue unrectified until new equipment is installed. If the latest repairs undertaken by Oasis do not yield reliable operation my next step is to contact the Cummins-Wagner, who is the Lochinvar distributor in the area and ask them to come in and analyze (sort of like going from the family doctor to the specialist).
