There are a few items of which you should be aware in order to insure
your comfort as well as the efficient use of this system.
1. If your thermostat on the wall is so equipped please be sure it
is set to COOL.
2. If your thermostat is so equipped adjust the fan speed to your
liking.
3. Adjust the temperature on the thermostat to provide the room
temperature desired. Your assistance is requested in saving energy
(and therefore lowering electric bills).
4. If you cannot get your convector to function properly please
advise maintenance and your unit will be checked.
5. Please remember that from today through the end of the cooling
season the system's normal status will be in the active mode. It may;
however, be temporarily turned off if extremely cool conditions arise.
6. Please be sure to close your windows while your residence's
cooling unit is on. This will assist in avoiding excess condensation
and potential overflow of convector pans.
7. It is strongly recommended that you do not turn off your air
conditioning for an extended period of time. The combination of the
cold water running through the closed loop system by your convector
and hot ambient temperature in your apartment may lead to excessive
condensation. This could permeate the insulation around the pipes
inside your wall and show up as water saturated drywall. This would be
a needless, preventable, and expensive repair that you want to avoid.
