Re: HVAC Balancing Valve Follow-Up Study #2
From: Walter Krolman, Property Manager
Date: December 13, 2004

As part of the recent rebalancing of the closed loop (air conditioning and heating) system by Annandale Balancing an analysis of the noise levels in different tiers and on different levels of the building was authorized.

Simply put. in addition to providing for a proper water flow as determined by energy loads calculated by the association’s engineer, one of the objectives of the rebalancing was to assure that noise levels associated with water flow were at the lowest level possible.

In order to accomplish this, Lauren maintenance conducted an aural examination of your unit on Wednesday, December 1, 2004. Information that was obtained was transmitted to The Lauren’s engineer, who coordinated with Annandale Balancing as to any additional modifications that may have to be made in the balancing as it currently exists.

As a result of the above Annandale will be at the Lauren TOMORROW (TUESDAY DECEMBER 14, 2004) to rebalance yet again. Lauren maintenance will accompany the technician while he is in your home.

As has been the case in past rebalancing all that is required is access to the service panel in your ceiling (usually located near your convector) so the valves may be adjusted. Please help us by keeping the floor area in this vicinity clear.

Thank you for your assistance and cooperation in the is matter!
