Based upon the recommendations of the engineer hired by the Lauren Board of Directors to evaluate the operation of the association's HVAC (Heating,
Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) system the Board has authorized the "balancing" of the closed loop water system. Annandale Balancing
company has been selected to perform the necessary work. The intent is to provide the appropriate amount of water flow to each tier as called for by
engineering calculations of the heating and cooling load for each tier. In turn the adjustments to water flow will hopefully yield comparable cooling
and heating capabilities throughout the building.
As you are probably aware the balancing valves are located in the ceiling hatch found in your 10th floor apartment. Therefore access to your unit
will be necessary to perform the contracted work.
The tentative schedule is as follows
Monday - November 15, 2004 - 900 onward
Tuesday - November 16, 2004 - 900 onward
(if project is not completed on Monday)
Please note that Lauren personnel will accompany the technician in all apartments.
Also note that the procedure is relatively non-invasive. Annandale will need access to the area by your convector as they have to remove a ceiling
hatch to reach the closed water loop valves and pipes. On the off chance that any surrounding areas are disturbed Lauren maintenance will restore to
prior condition upon completion of the job. Should you have any furniture in the vicinity of the hatch please move it away from the area.
Thank you for your assistance and cooperation!
