Re: Materials Testing: Announcement and Request
From: Walter Krolman, Property Manager
Date: 17 June 2004

As you are probably aware, there has recently been a large amount of publicity about the levels of lead in the drinking water within the District of Columbia .

Because of the age of the Lauren, and the materials used in its construction it is unlikely that our system is being adversely affected.

However, to confirm current levels and to memorialize for future inquiries, The Association’s Board of Directors has authorized testing of the domestic water. In addition, testing will be performed to confirm the lack of asbestos in suspect materials. A qualified contractor has been hired and will be taking samples from random apartments on:

THURSDAY - JUNE 24, 2004

If you would like to participate in this program please complete and return the authorization found below the dotted line no later than Sunday June 20, 2004 . Please note that if we are going to test your water you WILL NOT be allowed to use the specific faucet after midnight on Wednesday June 23 In case of excess volunteerism we will attempt to test from a variety of floors and tiers. Those apartments that will be tested will be notified on Tuesday June 22nd.

MATERIALS TESTING
