We actually had our AC Service people (McQuay) here this past Wednesday to activate the system as promised in the memo of April 14, 2003. 

However, the short, honest answer as to why the central air conditioning is not on is that we keep discovering water leaks in the cooling tower and accompanying pipes when we fill and pressurize the various components. 

Nothing major, but it would be much wiser to fix them before the AC system is turned on so we can try to avoid downtime when it really gets hot. We are now looking at Monday as the new projected start-up date for the season. 

We are also most grateful that the forecast is for cool the next few days (though hopefully not so cool that residents want the heat turned back on…and I've already had several requests to do so).
