LAUREN HALLWAYS ETIQUETTETired of seeing your hallway cluttered with “stuff”? So are your fellow residents, the Board of Directors, and those charged with operating and maintaining the building! In addition to being a potential safety hazard, articles left in the hallway present an untidy appearance reminiscent of a college dormitory. To say nothing of adding to the potential for staining the carpet in the area. Certainly not the image that a premium property is desirous of presenting to either current or potential residents as well as guests. With that in mind please take a few moments to review the manner in which we would expect that specific articles would be handled. Umbrellas, wet shoes and the like should NEVER be left in the hallways. Please take them inside your apartment. Garbage should NEVER be left in the hallways. Put sealed bags down the trash chute, recyclable glass and metal in the plastic bin found in the trash chute area, and take extra large boxes and their ilk down to the garage level elevator lobby. Newspapers. Take them off your doorstep the day they are received. Remember that recyclable newspapers are picked up by Lauren personnel on Thursday morning. Put them outside your door on Thursday morning. Bottled water and Peapod deliveries are becoming more popular with our residents. Ideally you will be home when the deliveries are made so containers may be exchanged and removed immediately. However, knowing that this may not always be the case, it is acceptable to leave containers outside your door only on the day they are scheduled to be picked up or delivered. When possible please stack empty containers so as to take up a minimum of space. Please note that items left in the hallways that violate the above parameters will be considered trash and as such will be removed and disposed of promptly. Thank you for your cooperation in this beautification effort. Walter Krolman |
