In
September you were informed of the Board of Director’s decision
authorizing the Lauren’s service contractor (G&L Mechanical) to
“balance” the closed loop water system. The intent is to provide a
consistent amount of water flow to each tier. In turn the adjustments
to water flow will hopefully yield comparable cooling and heating
capabilities throughout the building.
As
you are also very well aware the initial schedule of September 23-25
was not able to be followed because of the discovery of faulty valves.
In turn, the Board authorized the replacement of those valves. I am
happy to report that this is now complete. G&L,
and their agents, will now return to balance the closed loop system.
The
tentative schedule is as follows:
Please
note that Lauren personnel will accompany the technician in all
apartments. G&L
will be accessing the area by your convector which is currently
exposed due to the recent valve replacement. There should be no
additional construction/destruction during this aspect of the project. It
is our intent to expedite both the balancing and the subsequent
insulation of exposed pipes in order that restoration of 10th floor
apartments can commence and conclude at the earliest possible moment. Thank
