DC Budget 2003

Mayor Anthony Williams has released his proposed budget for FY 2003. This budget is under consideration by the DC Council.  Information on the proposed budget may be found at www.dc.gov.  

On March 18, 2002, the Mayor's office released neighborhood budget worksheets.  The Dupont Circle budget worksheet highlights proposed initiatives to:  

• Improve the conditions of P Street between Dupont Circle and 23rd Street and 17th Street between Massachusetts and New Hampshire Avenues, 
• Improve the traffic flow on Connecticut Ave., between Farragut Square and Florida Ave., 
• Enforce regulations to increase the quality of life in the neighborhood, and 
• Reduce the negative impact of parking in neighborhoods.

These worksheets outline specific key commitments, tied to the budget, which address these issues.  A copy of the highlights summary of this document will be available at the April ANC meeting.
