Dear Lauren Owner, 

            In response to numerous inquiries, suggestions, and requests by owners The Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Starline Industries, Inc. has been selected to manufacture and install replacement aluminum windows for those owners wishing to purchase them for their unit(s). Starline was selected after reviewing proposals and samples from several manufacturers and installers.   

            Starline, located in Baltimore, has been in the window installation business for eighteen (18) years and has worked on numerous projects in the metropolitan Washington area including recently the Promenade in Bethesda, Marina Towers in Alexandria, and the Carillion House in Glover Park. 

            Mr. Tom Ward, National Sales Manager of Starline, will be in the lobby of The Lauren at 7:00PM on Wednesday August 22^nd to answer any questions you have about their products and the installation process. 

            While each owner will be entering into an individual contract with Starline Lauren management will serve as a facilitator to coordinate the process in as seamless a manner as possible. 

            As a first step we ask that all interested owners complete and return the attached expression of interest sheet** no later than September 7^th. A minimum of thirty (30) windows must be ordered to secure the prices quoted. Shortly thereafter Starline will be sending out individual contracts to those who have expressed interest. These must be returned by the date indicated along with a 1/3 deposit (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and personal checks are accepted). We hope to have the windows manufactured and installed prior to the end of the year. 

            The quoted price includes removal and disposal of the existing unit, installation of the new window, interior trim, caulking, clean up and taxes. Exclusions are window treatment removal or reinstallation, drywall repairs, painting, and moving furniture. All window configurations will remain the same as existing. Note that screens are included and a low E glass option has been selected for energy conservation. The replacement windows are double paned and in addition to being more energy efficient should also reduce drafts and street noise.
