The Lauren, A Condominium

As many of you may have noticed the roofdeck swimming pool is currently devoid of water.

Last Friday (7/13/01) evening Lauren Maintenance (Cacho) noticed a small leak in the pool mechanical room located on the 10th floor. Further investigation revealed the discovery of a section of original galvanized piping that had corroded. Because of its location in the circulation system the pool had to be drained completely so as to avoid additional leaking.

Our swimming pool maintenance company was notified and examined the situation the following day. They advised that because of the location of the pipe welding would be required and suggested the use of a plumber as they themselves do not perform repairs of that nature. Magnolia Plumbing was contacted on Monday and while they agreed as to the welding diagnosis, they indicated that because the weld would be under pressure a more advanced and specialized type of equipment than they possess would have to be used. Magnolia referred us to Collin's Welding who is scheduled to perform repairs tomorrow, Friday July 20th
