District Roads Ready for Morning Rush Hour

Below Freezing Temperatures Overnight Concern for Possible Icy Conditions

Motorists Advised to Give Extra Time

(Washington, D.C.) – Mayor Adrian M. Fenty, District Department of Transportation Director Gabe Klein, and Department of Public Works Director William O. Howland, Jr. are advising motorists traveling into the District Monday morning to give themselves extra time. District crews continue to plow and treat roadways which are clear and accessible and additional crews will be working throughout the evening. However, temperatures will drop below freezing this evening causing some icy conditions on roadways that remain wet as a result of melting throughout the day.
