MPDC Hosts Halloween Activities at All District Stations

The Metropolitan Police Department's seven police districts will each conduct Halloween activities for the enjoyment of children and parents alike.

In addition, the Department wishes to remind parents and children to follow Halloween safety tips while enjoying trick or treating. All candies, fruit and other goodies should be examined by parents before consumed by children. Children should travel with an adult and go to homes of neighbors they know. Costumes should be fire retardant, not too long to avoid tripping and permit clear vision. Children should observe traffic safety such as crossing with the light at intersections and they should be respectful of others' property while trick or treating.

Below is the list of scheduled activities for the seven police districts:

* Pumpkin carving on Saturday, October 28, from 1 to 3 pm. * Haunted house for ages 10 and above from 6 to 8 pm on Sunday, October 29, Monday, October 30 and Tuesday, October 31. * Party for ages 9 and under from 4 to 6 pm on Tuesday, October 31.
