In the interest of maximizing the limited time we have with the candidates, DCCA has established a format for this forum.
We ask the audience to cooperate by refraining from verbal comments or applause during the question and answer period. Questions from the audience will be collected on index cards during the first portion of the forum.
In general, candidates’ responses to questions will be limited to one and one half minutes, with the moderator having discretion to shorten or lengthen time.
1. At 7:30 pm, DCCA President Rob Halligan will introduce the moderator and each candidate. The audience should hold its applause until after all of the introductions.
2. Each candidate will have up to 2 minutes for an opening statement.
3. The moderator will pose questions to the candidates. The initial questions are of special interest to DCCA and were provided to the candidates ahead of time. The moderator and DCCA will pose additional questions, to one or more candidates, from ones submitted by DCCA members and the audience or initiated by the moderator, who also may permit rebuttal.
4. No later than 9:10 pm, each candidate will have 3 minutes for closing remarks.
The Forum will end by 9:30 pm.
Light refreshments will be served in the vestibule.
