Dear Lauren Owners,
Your board of directors has approved the enclosed Lauren budget for next year. Working hard to keep costs down, we have decided upon a budget that incorporates an increase in condo fees of 3˝ percent. This will help defray the cost of redecorating the hallways and elevators, and it will help us stash funds for the inevitable, expensive overhaul of the heating, cooling, and ventilation system in all of our units. The latter project is several years away, we hope, but we’re saving now for those costs, in order not to have to borrow or levy special assessments when the time for that maintenance arrives.
Your new condo fees for 2008 are listed [elsewhere]. You should receive a coupon book from Simmons Management in time to pay your January fees on schedule. Should your coupons not ar rive in time, please use the figures below to pay the January fees, and write clearly on the check which unit or units the check covers.
You are always welcome to attend board meetings to bring to our attention any matters of concern within the Lauren (or. of course, to deliver compliments!). For the board, I would like to extend best wishes for a happy holiday season.
