RESPONSE TO THE TRAGEDY
In the wake of last week's terrible tragedy, we concerned about the
health and well-being of our neighborhood. As you may already know, we lost
a member of our community last week. There may be others who have lost a
family member or friend and are in need of support.
Our community can benefit from an opportunity to come together to talk
about what happened, the reactions people are experiencing, and how it's
impacting your life as a part of our community.
We have set aside a few hours on Monday, September 24, 2001, for
neighbors to meet with members of the Capital Area Crisis Response Team. The
team will facilitate a discussion about our reactions to the events of the
last week. Please join us at St. Luke's from 7 pm to 9 pm.
Advisory Neighborhood Commission 2B meets on the second Wednesday of each
month. There is an open forum at each meeting for discussion of issues not
on the regular agenda. For further information, call (202) 296-7333 or email
vnm3@rcn.com. The Capital Area Crisis Response Team provides free services
to those in the Washington Metropolitan Area who are affected my traumatic
events and crisis situations. CACRT
