The Lauren Staff - Dr. Henry Ambe

The Lauren Condominium homepage salutes Henry Ambe. During the 3rd Annual Roof Garden party on Wednesday evening, September 23, 1998, Henry A. Ambe was presented with a plaque honoring him for 10 years service to the Lauren. President Joseph Morris made the award on behalf of the Board of Directors.

Long familiar to Lauren residents as the evening manager, less well known is the fact that Dr. Ambe is also an adjunct professor of linguistics. One of Dr. Amby's books was cited this month as a model for linguistic analysis.

Dr. Henry A. Ambe's Structure of Bafut has been a great source of inspiration; my morphological analysis is in many ways modeled after his. Henry also read several versions of the original manuscript.
